How Tailand factory to Import Industrial Panel PC from China
Tell a story about a Thai clients. A Thai customer ordered 6 industrial all-in-one pc which was protected by the platform's strict management.
It's difficult to persuade the customer to cancel the order because we has to pay a 50% fine if the order cancel.
Also we couldn't use our DDP shipping way to delivery the package too.
It must use the sites shipping way. Alright, our sales manager has gone to Indonesia for exhibition.
I didn't tell the customer about the shipment, so I quoted $120 per unit, half of the $240 for export.
I think half of the price is okay. This price is quite high, usually our Thai clients asked that amount too.
At least I didn't quote $50 for export. Some customers asked that amount.
The situation has arisen.Unfortunately, this order was inspected by customs.
I have been in the business for 9 years and have seen the pictures of customs inspections for the first time.
The scanning is still very clear and the inspection is very careful. The customer's photos have been sent over.
UPS sent an email requesting the customer to provide proof of a $720 transaction. I placed another order of $720 for him.
UPS said that it's not working, while customer couldn't prove the bank record, so they directly gave UPS the real transaction amount of $1400.
The result is that he was fine because of the low declaration.The total Tax amount including the fine about 700 US dollars. It can't be so high! Why? To help our customer to slove the problem, we ask their local UPS to send an email with a copy to us, and found that they were using the HS code of touch monitor, not the industrial all-in-one pc. The tax on monitors is 20%, while the tax on industrial all-in-one computer is 0%.
In the end, the customer only paid a tax of 190$. Their UPS change to the correct HS code. They need one of our previous invoices to Thailand to reference. We felt very sorry to trouble our clients. After these things, we promise to offer customers discounts for their second orders. The painful conclusion is that we should not use UPS and should not underdeclare.
Which will take about a week to complete. Our shipping logistics team also assist in sloving the problem with Thai local UPS. It makes me feel fair and able to speak coherently.
